Wayward Arcs is a modern quilt pattern that explores improvisational curved piecing, color interaction, and abstract composition through simple arc-based blocks. Working with repeated curved shapes allows lots of room to experiment with proportion, movement, and layout.

This pattern can be sewn with precise measurements or in a more improvisational, ruler-free way. As the blocks begin interacting with one another, small changes in color placement, block size, and curve direction can completely shift the overall composition. The pattern includes multiple layout approaches ranging from simple grids to more complex abstract arrangements.
