Explore Color & Design Through Play!
Hourglass is a modern quilt pattern that explores color, proportion, and improvisational piecing through simple Hourglass blocks and layout variations. Working with repeated shapes allows you to explore how small shifts in proportion and value affect the overall composition.
Simple block construction leaves lots of room to experiment with color placement, trimming, layout, and scale. The pattern includes both precise and ruler-free construction methods, along with a variety of layout options and block variations to explore.
